October in Salem is a lot
Every October, Salem turns into the Halloween capital of the world. Haunted Happenings runs all month, the streets around Essex Street and the Common fill up by noon, and parking downtown becomes its own horror story.
If you're 21+ and want to pick up cannabis while you're on the North Shore, you don't have to fight the downtown crowds to do it. Diem Lynn is a short trip south of Salem on Route 1A, with its own parking lot, a 4.9★ rating from 2,000+ Google reviews, and hours until 11pm every night.
Getting from Salem to Diem Lynn
We're at 211 Lewis St in Lynn, on Route 1A across from the 7-Eleven, right near the Swampscott line.
By Commuter Rail
The easiest way to skip the traffic. Take the Newburyport/Rockport Line inbound from Salem. Swampscott is the next stop, and Lynn is the one after that. Diem sits between the two stations, a short walk or a quick rideshare from either. Trains get busy in October, so check the MBTA schedule before you head out.
By car
Head south on Route 1A (Lafayette Street out of Salem) through Swampscott into Lynn. Outside of peak Halloween traffic it's a quick drive. We have a dedicated on-site lot. The easiest way in is via Chestnut Street.
By rideshare
Tell your driver 211 Lewis St, Lynn. It's an easy pickup spot, too, which is more than you can say for downtown Salem on a Saturday night in October.
Before you shop
- Bring a valid government-issued photo ID. You need to be 21 or older. Out-of-state visitors are welcome.
- Order ahead and skip the wait. Browse the Diem Lynn menu, place your order, and it's usually ready within 10–15 minutes.
- Payment: debit, cash, or DutchiePay. There's an ATM on site.
- Purchase limit: As of April 2026, Massachusetts allows adults 21+ to buy up to two ounces of flower, or the equivalent in other products. Mixing categories? Our budtenders can help you work out what fits.

Know the rules
Massachusetts has a few rules that visitors don't always know about:
- No public consumption. That includes the streets of Salem, parks, and the Common. Enjoy at a private residence.
- Check your hotel's policy. Most hotels and short-term rentals don't allow smoking or vaping.
- Keep it sealed in the car. Cannabis in a vehicle should be in its original sealed packaging or in the trunk. Never consume in a car, and never drive high.
- It stays in Massachusetts. Taking cannabis across state lines is illegal, even to another legal state.
